If you want to get a good fighting game that rocks for PS3 go out and get this game. I've been playing the Virtua Fighter series since I was in the seventh grade. I loved the game then and I still love it now. It's still just as fun as the days when I first started dumping quarters into the arcade version.
The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. The lighting and water effects are almost perfect, however the particle effects are medicore which is a shame but I guess it's alright they're not exactly what I'd call next-gen but they'll pass for now. Another peeve I had is that some of the characters look like they have plastic skin and I expected better than that. That and the particle effects are then only real complaints that I have with the graphics.
The controls and the camera angles work great on this. So at the end of the day it's still the same old virtua fighter we know and love just with updated graphics. I would like to have an arcade joystick for my PS3 but I can't afford one right now and neither can CJ (Were trying to get an Xbox 360 and Halo 3 Legendary Edition *W00T*); so anyone want to send us a joystick to try out? Ok maybe that's else to do with games ) send me an email at chrisprayingmantis@yahoo.com. I've only started playing this game yesterday and I will write a more in depth review after I've played it for a few more hours.
P.S. If you have anything that you want an honest journalistic opion for send it to me for review. Just Email me at the address above and we'll try to work something out.

CJ: Resistance Fall of Man My Rating: 8.5
One day I went to my friends place to play his new game called Resistance Fall of Man.
The game overall is AWESOME. I will not ruin it for the other gamers, but here is the start. You play as a guy from America who comes to help out the Brits. When you start out you little army of men is attack and killed....except you. But you are infected by the Chimera...unknowingly.
Co-op is unbelievable. If you are shot down in combat, your partner can come over and revive you. The catch is if your partner is shot down you have to start back at the last check point or the beginning of the level. If your partner is successful you are revived with only 50% of health. Or you can wait for 20 or 30 seconds to revive and you are back in action with 50% of health. You will be placed with your partner is at no matter where.
Co-op is great it sometimes takes longer to finish a level out but it is worth the fight. Cut scenes could be a little better but i give them 3.5 out of 5.
Weapons are great on there. When you are able to use the sniper rifle, you can hold L2 and use a little focus to find that sweet spot. Now the focus doesn't last to long so you have to hit that target pretty quick. Head shoot is instant kill like most games. They have a new kind of weapon called the Auger. Say you are getting shot at and you have the Auger in hand. You pass the secondary fire button and you have yourself an instant shield for 10 to 15 seconds while you can shoot back at them through the barrier with a very powerful punch. You can like most military games you can dual wield pistols which is pretty sweet. There are many weapons on the game that are a little modified for that kind of time frame that they are in. My personal favorite would have to be the shotgun and the sniper rifle. With the shotgun you can have the choice of a single shot being fired or a double shot but takes a little longer to reload.
Overall the game is an 8.5 of of 10. Reason for not a 9.0 is some of the levels are too short and they are right back in a cut-scene. Other than that the game is Great. Recommended for any gamer.

Chris: Resistance Fall of Man My Rating: 9.0
Resistance Fall of Man is a pretty good game very solid in it's construction. So the story is something like this instead of World war 2 happening these creatures called Chimera start invading countries. All the while the US is trying desperately to stay out of the war but the chimera finally invade Britain and the US knows it would be next so they send a Large strike force to help out Britain. The strike force is wiped out and you are the lone survivor of the terror. There is a catch though you are infected with the virus that turns you into a chimera but it isn't affecting you the way it does everyone else. So you join the Brits and help them to destroy the chimera infestation in Britain. A pretty cool story if you ask me.
As far as the weapons go these are some of the coolest weapons that I've ever seen in a game very creative and very very balanced. One of the weapons called the auger can shoot through walls which is really awesome, but even better than that you can throw up shields with it and make you own cover which is by far one of the coolest things. One mechanic I missed though is duel wield which is available on one of the guns but not any of the other ones. They have some very original weapons as I mentioned before the Auger, and then there is one gun called the bulls-eye that can shoot around corners, and the dual wielding energy pistols. There are two very cool grenades one is called the hedge-hog which is a ball of spikes that explodes and sends shards off in every which direction, and one which spews gas and like blow the crap out of who ever manages to get close to it.
The AI is extraordinary on one level there are several enemies in one room and you need to take them out to get to your objective. So I threw a grenade in and stared to pin on of the guys down behind some crates on the left side of the room well i fail to note that there is a second way around to the room I'm in and in walks a chimera one word: HELP!! I'm down in a couple of seconds. Using those team hunting tactics to get me down was awesome so you really feel like these creatures are intelligent and not just some crazy zombies walking and it makes it that much more scary.
So my overall rating of this game is 9.0 its a solid title with some moderately high replay value. I would recommend this title to all of my friends who have a PS3. One issue that I had with it though is it should have been released this fall so Insomniac would have more polish on this game and the PS3 would be picking up some steam and this game would get some more attention. Other than that I have no problems with this game.
