Chris: Resistance Fall of Man My Rating: 9.0

Resistance Fall of Man is a pretty good game very solid in it's construction. So the story is something like this instead of World war 2 happening these creatures called Chimera start invading countries. All the while the US is trying desperately to stay out of the war but the chimera finally invade Britain and the US knows it would be next so they send a Large strike force to help out Britain. The strike force is wiped out and you are the lone survivor of the terror. There is a catch though you are infected with the virus that turns you into a chimera but it isn't affecting you the way it does everyone else. So you join the Brits and help them to destroy the chimera infestation in Britain. A pretty cool story if you ask me.

As far as the weapons go these are some of the coolest weapons that I've ever seen in a game very creative and very very balanced. One of the weapons called the auger can shoot through walls which is really awesome, but even better than that you can throw up shields with it and make you own cover which is by far one of the coolest things. One mechanic I missed though is duel wield which is available on one of the guns but not any of the other ones. They have some very original weapons as I mentioned before the Auger, and then there is one gun called the bulls-eye that can shoot around corners, and the dual wielding energy pistols. There are two very cool grenades one is called the hedge-hog which is a ball of spikes that explodes and sends shards off in every which direction, and one which spews gas and like blow the crap out of who ever manages to get close to it.

The AI is extraordinary on one level there are several enemies in one room and you need to take them out to get to your objective. So I threw a grenade in and stared to pin on of the guys down behind some crates on the left side of the room well i fail to note that there is a second way around to the room I'm in and in walks a chimera one word: HELP!! I'm down in a couple of seconds. Using those team hunting tactics to get me down was awesome so you really feel like these creatures are intelligent and not just some crazy zombies walking and it makes it that much more scary.

So my overall rating of this game is 9.0 its a solid title with some moderately high replay value. I would recommend this title to all of my friends who have a PS3. One issue that I had with it though is it should have been released this fall so Insomniac would have more polish on this game and the PS3 would be picking up some steam and this game would get some more attention. Other than that I have no problems with this game.
